Reluctant Carnival Participant
October 2, 2008 1 Comment
For some time there has been this thing floating around called the Carnival of the Elitist Bastards. Since the founder is an angry fountain of liberal rage I can’t say I was ever that motivated to participate, despite the fact that two of my favorite fellow bloggers have. I like the premise though, which is that sometimes it’s okay to be an elitist.
This month though I couldn’t resist a submission because the Carnival is being hosted by the lovely and talented NP of The Coffee Stained Writer. I felt it was my duty to ignore my misgivings about said fountain of rage and support NP’s efforts since I think she’s one of those people my grandmother would say, “Has a good heart” and I think she’s just great.
My entry was a piece written a few months ago, sparked by my daughter’s graduation from middle school and the excellence I saw in her and her classmates’ achievements. I hope everyone will take the time to check it out and also follow the links back to NP’s site and beyond.

Thanks for the promo! I’m so glad you participated! (I’ve only participated in one myself, so I understand your reservations.)
