Michelle Obama

 

It was interesting for me to compare the story of Michelle Obama on Monday night with the story of Hillary Clinton on Tuesday. They were striking in their similarities. Both lawyers. Both obviously brilliant. Both married to intelligent and ambitious husbands. Both passionate about particular causes. Both excellent speakers.

It makes me wonder, what will the future hold for Michelle Obama if her husband is elected? Will she be as involved with his administration as Clinton was in her husband’s? Will she take a more active role and use her position as first lady to advance her own causes?

I also wonder if perhaps Obama will have her own ambitions for office someday. Perhaps she will follow Hillary’s path as a senator or in some other capacity. Or maybe even aspire to her office? So here’s my long odds pick:

Assuming America is open to a Democrat retaining the White House after 8 years of Barack, I think we might have a winning idea here.
