I’ve been too busy to actually do a decent post today, so I will break my own rule by posting something more casual. So here’s what I have in store for myself tonight:

is that your dog? most excellent! we loves us some dogs over here at didionville! (and cats, too.)
Yep – that’s Murphy. He’s our 2 year-old yellow lab. This will be his second year hunting with me so he has a lot of training to do before September.
We have a couple of cats too. They belong to the wife though.
i suppose, technically, i am the owner of our animals, but in practice, ownership is assigned based on the animals’ current dispositions and who of us happens to be making the comment:
why is YOUR dog barking?
YOUR cat just hacked a hairball on the bed?
MY dog is such a gooooood boy!
you get the idea.
Ahhh, yes. Much the same way with the children. Of course, since we each brought one to the marriage, that’s more true than usual.
The dog is mine when he’s bad and ours when he’s good. I never claim the cats though. That would mean cleaning out the litter box!
