Casual Sunday: Sites I Am Currently Addicted To

Two sites have been getting most of my non-political attention these days:

This site was brought to my attention by our friend at Send Chocolate and she has already been reprimanded for it. (I don’t need more excuses to stay on the internet for hours.)
There’s a LOT of material on this site. The hostess, Ree, is a former city gal who married a cattle rancher 12 years ago and blogs about the hilarious details of her life on a big ranch. She’s also a great photgrapher and her posts are filled with fantastic photos that add a great dimension to what she writes. I’ve been plowing through her site for a couple of weeks and my wife has already decided I’m in love with her. I’m not really (although she’s a cutie) but I am in love with her life in the outdoors and the great childhood her four kids seem to be having with a hundred thousand acres or so as a playground.
My favorite part of her site though is the recipes. We’ve already made several at home and while she makes no claim that this is healthy cooking, it sure is good eating. Her step-by-step photos, taken by having a tripod in her kitchen, make the recipes a snap and cookbook authors should take note.
I am posting this to balance the subtle feminine nature of The Pioneer Woman. I think our mutual adoration of all things Teddy Roosevelt was what lead me to this site. This site is purely self-indulgent humor and adoration of all things manly. To our male readers, if you need a little shot of testerone, a few minutes on this site is guaranteed to give you an injection. As just one example, try this post on the 15 Greatest Man Cries
